Some views today!

29th January 2025

Today I could see things and to celebrate I took loads of pictures.

Snow overnight with very strong winds led to some drifting but it was all minimal during the day. Snow is generally firmer, particularly where exposed to the winds. There was a high windchill today as well, I would expect the same again on Thursday.

I had a ski around, still wouldn’t use your best ski’s!

Walkers shelter out the strong winds above Corrie Dhrich. The Ridgeline of Glas Tulaichaen back left, Beinn Lutheran Mhor in the distance.

The Corrie Rim of Dhiric showing recent build up. Carn Nan Sac out of shot on the left, Carn a Gheoidh background right.

Looking from The Cairnwell T-Bar towards Glas Maol. Much shallower cover than impression the picture

Cairn of Claise, left and the Garbh-Corrie. The ‘Home Run’ is the ski run in the foreground and is not open. Having skied down that way a couple days ago it was very thin.

Looking towards Carn an Tuirc in the distance and Sron na Gaoithe in the foreground. Gives an idea of the scouring on some aspects.

Walkers make their way up to The Cairnwell (933m).
