Spring snow!

17th January 2025

Beinn a Bhuird and Ben Avon are holding the only meaningful snow in the area, otherwise there is very little snow left.

Good to see a few folk heading out into the Cairngorms today, the majority were off camping or heading for a bothy.

A view up Glen Derry towards. Currently a snowless landscape. Looks like a view in Springtime.

Most of the remaining snow is soft and thawing, occasionally surface layers are firm. This is at 900 metres.
