Cloudy and Mild today.

20th December 2024

There wasn’t much to see this morning with the cloud base around 600 metres, of course it lifted as soon as I was back down.

Not much change on the hill, some wet snow and slush but mostly bare ground.

Saturday’s forecast is very poor. Storm force winds and snow showers, heavy at times. Not a great day out!

The greatest amount of snow you’ll see in the South Cairngorms! This will be pisted to give some beginners skiing over the festive period.

The ground is mostly bare. Last nights snow quickly melted.

Search dog Bowie with The Cairnwell (933 metres) behind. Hopefully the area will look a bit whiter by the end of tomorrow.
