White today.

4th March 2024

Currently there is a nice covering of snow above 800 metres but it looks like it will be affected by tomorrow’s (Tuesday) weather which will be a mix of rain and snow. Freezing levels will be fluctuating around the 900 metre mark  and it is likely to be very windy. There is some uncertainty in this forecast so worth checking the latest ones before heading out.

There is a covering of snow above 800 metres, it looks great but it’s not that deep. Iain admiring the view with no ski’s on, a good choice!

A group at the top of Glas Maol. Deeper new accumulations are mostly around corrie rims such as the one in Corrie Fionn on the left.

Leaving Corrie Fionn with the Cairngorms in the distance. A mix of hard ice and softer snow underfoot.
