Winter continues…

23rd February 2024

A frosty night with some further light snow showers has given the mountains a fresh white coating above 600 metres.

The fresh to strong South-Westerly has scoured the exposed windward slopes  above 900 metres and further drifting has increased the depth and spatial distribution of windslab on North to East aspects.

It is staying cold again for the next few days with the wind veering round to the North towards the end of tomorrow.
