A very windy day.

2nd February 2024

It was a bright day with some hills hanging onto cloud cover. The strongest gust recorded at Cairnwell Weather Station was 92mph at 1pm. Mild as well, around +5 degrees Celsius at 900 metres when I was out. It’ll be very windy again tomorrow but it will be much cooler with the freezing level dropping to around 800 metres overnight.

Excuse the shaky shots, very hard to take in the winds!

Beinn a Bhuird clear of cloud.

Corrie na Ciche.

Very wild on Loch Muick. Crags above Glen Clova in the distance.
