A thawing Lochnagar.
28th February 2024
Another thaw in progress with the freezing level lifting above the summits. By dawn it should be cold again with snow showers throughout the day. Expected to be windy again.
The view from the rescue box/gear up area in Lochnagar today. Buttresses are starting to blacken again, let’s hope things look a little whiter over the weekend.
Rogue looking down to the Loch. Strong winds have pushed the ice into the corner.
