A murky day.

19th February 2024

Another mild day with the freezing levels above the summits. A brief cooler period tomorrow (Tuesday) but after it’s likely to become milder again.

Views were okay but poor for photos.

Lochnagar. Some easier gullies still complete but we could do with a return to winter.

The tors on Ben Avon. Even at these elevations, (1100 metres),  the snowpack has diminished significantly over the last week.

Beinn a Bhuird corries. These and the Braeriach corries probably hold most snow in the area.
