Unexpected snowfall. Wild at times.

14th January 2024

Sunday wasn’t the dry day with bolted down snow that was expected. There were frequent heavy snow showers and significant transport of this new snow on the gale force Northerly winds.

Deep drifts were forming rapidly even at low levels. Image below at 700 metres. Windslab accumulating rapidly in sheltered locations.

Even at the roadside conditions were pretty wild at times.
