The White Room o’ Lochnagar.

10th January 2024

There was little to see above 600 metres on Lochnagar today. When reaching the snowline around 800 metres the world became very white! Surprisingly, it was gently raining at times  with a thin crust of ice developing on everything, including clothing. Winds are expected to be stronger but otherwise similar conditions are expected tomorrow (Thursday). Likely to be icy again underfoot.

Dog Rogue at Lochnagar Col.

A very well equipped Winter mountain runner on the plateau around 1000 metres. This local runner is a regular on Lochnagar, the micro spikes perfect for these conditions.
