Not much to see on Lochnagar today with thick cloud from 700 metres. Nice to see some keen walkers about though. There was some snow overnight but mostly it was thawing today up to 1000 metres.
Cloud base was around 700 metres. Initially falling as light rain, it turned to sleet around 1000 metres.
There is still quite a lot of snow cover from 700 metres. Mostly soft and thawing it is hard going in places. Many of the tracks also have a lot of ice on them.
