Lochnagar.

5th January 2024

A changeable day, started with rain and snowfall but brightened as the day went on.

Much colder than in recent days, recorded a temperature of -1.2 degrees on the Plateau area. Winds were noticeable veering throughout the morning with drifting snow starting to build in sheltered areas.

Well equipped walkers at the top of the Ladders path. The snowpack is becoming much firmer now.
