Thawing.

A very different day to yesterday! The freezing level started to rise following on from overnight snowfall, by early afternoon the new snow cover was starting to look a bit thinner. With further rain tonight, other than cornices, I’d expect to see a general improvement in stability.

Lochnagar. Soft wet snow all the way up.
The South Corrie had a bit more snow in it but not much sign of avalanche activity.
Splish splash! My footprints already melting from the morning. Thaw gathering pace.
