No Viz!

29th March 2023

A mild and wet day with the cloud base down to around 600 metres at times. No visibility at 900 metres and therefore no views into Lochnagar from the col. First main snow was encountered at 900 metres and this was patchy and thawing. The weather forecast is for the unsettled conditions to continue although there may be some light wintery showers on the very highest summits as we move towards the end of the week.

There were no photo opportunities on the mountains but I did stop to have a look at a very interesting piece of survey equipment positioned in the River Muick….

Very interesting reading about Salmon…

A damp and mild day. Loch Muick in the distance.

Cloud base right down into the glen at times today
