Lochnagar

11th March 2023

Another beautiful day with blue skies and light winds first thing, freshening later.

All change later with a band of snow arriving during the evening, falling overnight. There will also be some redistribution of existing deposits at higher altitudes, adding to the loading. The freezing level will rise steadily through the day, going over the summits during the afternoon.

So quite a complicated hazard map developing – have a read of the various reports if you are heading out tomorrow. Easier angled terrain and exposed, wind scoured locations offering the safer options.
