Lochnagar.

2nd January 2023

A cold and bright start to the day. Higher up it was quite windy and there was quite a lot of snow blowing around.

Big change tomorrow…..some snowfall but becoming mild in the afternoon.

Stunning day although it was a lot windier than I expected. Across the Dee to Bill a Bhuird.

YOU SHALT NOT PASS! It seemed a fitting end to chuck him off the Bridge of Khazad-dûm.

No new snowfall today but the strong winds were able to redistribute the existing layer of soft dry snow.

The West Buttress.

The South Sector. Old avalanche debris from Friday underneath the central area.

Walkers make their way up to a wild looking plateau.

Trail leading up to Eagle Ridge area on the left. Apparently there were a few avalanches from Frida however most of the debris was buried by the drifting snow.
