Incoming thaw.

6th January 2023

It was probably the windiest day of the season so far, been lucky this year! Cloudy around the summits mid morning. The snow cover is soft low down but gets firmer above 900 metres.

Rain tonight, but cold again tomorrow (Saturday).

The Stuic from the approach track, probably still a bit icy for bikes.

A view over to The Cairnwell and Glenshee Ski Area. Still plenty snow around there.

Higher Lochan’s and burns are still frozen.

Mottled sunshine on Ben Avon. Higher plateau areas still complete.
