High wind chill.

16th January 2023

A bright day although there was a build up of summit cloud late morning. It was around -9 degrees celsius at 900 metres first thing and felt very cold in the wind.

Cover continues to slowly build on Southern slopes with exposed slopes firm, often icy.

Carn an Tuirc. A view over the Southern slopes.

Lots of recently formed drifts, this around 900 metres.

High wind chill today, quite a few hares sheltering out the wind.

Glenshee Ski Centre. Pistes looking superb today.
