Cloudy on the tops.

26th January 2023

A cloudy day with little to see around the tops. The snow cover is much depleted compare to last week but there’s still a decent amount left post thaw.

Avalanche debris has been spotted in some locations. If you come across any it would be useful if you could report it here –

Thanks!

Snow cover is patchy below 900 metres but still quite good above this level.

Avalanche debris in Corrie Fionn. A number of smaller avalanches have occurred  in this corrie.

SAIS collègue Di sent me a couple of impressive debris pics from Corrie Kander.

Debris from the The Black Spout/Raeburns Gully. Thanks to Kenny from AMRT for this pic.
