A Fresh Start…

1st January 2023

A little more snow than expected arrived overnight but it came in on light winds and settled as a general soft covering. Visibility was awful today with the cloud base below 600 metres at times. The freezing level gradually rose to around 900 metres by early afternoon.

Check out the weather forecast for tomorrow – a transient ridge of high pressure is moving in – and it looks like it is going to be a beautiful day. Grab it if you can…It’s only around for the day!

Awful visibility for photos today – will make up for it tomorrow.

Awful visibility today. Flat light made off-piste skiing unpleasant… marginally better on piste!

Extreme sledging taking place today!
