A wild day.

30th December 2022

It was a rather wild day with the snow gates closed first thing due to the overnight snow above 500 metres.  There were a few motorhome overnighters enjoying the skiing at Glenshee but away from the centre, visibility was poor.

It was a tricky forecast today with a fluctuating freezing level and a mix of snow and rain. However it seemed to play out as forecast with a much wetter walk back down the hill.

Poor visibility and hard going from 600 metres today. The snowfall eased off but as winds veered there was a lot of drifting.

Sam with a very enthusiastic trailbreak/digging team today.

Sam at one of the pitsites. As forecasted, cold with drifting snow when we arrived, rain and 0 degrees when we left.

Sensibly taking shelter while field test were conducted.

Wet on the way down.
