Windy and mild.
11th March 2022
It was an intentionally slow start to the morning, apparently the heavy showers would stop for a while and despite our doubts the plan worked and we managed to escape the worst of the rain. However, Â no escape from the winds though!
The thaw continues, a lot of snow has gone sub 900 metres and it’s becoming patchy in many areas.

The snow cover is becoming patchy although some of these areas are still quite deep, as Sam demonstrates!

Sam and Shaun descending past Glenshee ski area, although it brightened up above us, Glas Maol in the distance, looked very cloudy. Â There were a few tows sheltered from the strong winds today with some hardy skiers enjoying the challenging conditions.
