Pea souper.

16th March 2022

Great not to have any winds today but the penalty was a thick blanket of cloud from 700 metres or so. Freezing level was around 900 metres and there was light snowfall above this level.

After a brief rise in the freezing level overnight the older snow had softened slightly but should become firmer again tonight.

Weather forecast looks quite good heading towards the weekend. Fingers crossed!

Ernie’s Bothy (Gelder) in the trees with Lochnagar emerging from the cloud in the background. Taken early afternoon when the cloud was starting to break up.

Light snowfall for a couple hours. Rogue half way up The Ladders path.

Grouse probably happy with the lack of snow sub 900 metres.

Cloud lifting from Beinn a Bhuird early afternoon.
