Winters sting.

4th February 2022

It actually felt like Winter today! There was a high windchill where exposed to the strong Westerly winds and light snow showers throughout the day. Should be a challenging day on the hill tomorrow (Saturday 5th) with snowfall and strong winds expected.

Lochnagar this morning.

There were snow showers throughout the day. Crags starting to look a bit whiter by late morning.

Felt a bit more wintry on the plateau with a high wind chill and snow showers.

Above the South Sector.

Not particularly busy but there were a few walkers around today.

Passing Central Gully. Old snow is very hard and icy.

It started to clear up on the way back. The view to Beinn a Bhuird.
