Staying mild…

15th December 2021

The continuing mild conditions are steadily diminishing the snowpack. Surface layers are soft with the general cover becoming very patchy. Best cover is still to be found in the high North and East facing corries. Some shockingly warm daytime summit temperatures have been forecast towards the end of the week but with much colder conditions expected overnight.

Cloudy conditions during the morning with a few limited photo opportunities developing during the early afternoon.

Lochnagar 1155m just breaking out of the cloud. Very patchy snow remaining on its West aspect.

Long shot to Beinn a’Bhuird 1197m – still holding snow.
