A great day with good visibility.  The snow cover is patchy, improving coverage with altitude.  It is very firm, icy where it had melted and refrozen. Any slips on steep terrain could have serious consequences.

Making our way to Cairn o Claise summit.Looks good cover here but there is little on the other side of the hill.

Looking to the main Cairngorms. The bigger hills look to be holding cover well.

Remaining snow is very firm. We descended using mini spikes (small light crampons) today, it was very icy at times.
