Another temperature inversion today but this time the thick blanket of cloud around 950 metres did not lift during the day. as you would expect very cold beneath the cloud and warm and sunny above. I could only see Lochnagar showing South of the Dee, most of the main Cairngorm tops were in the sun.

Only just above the clouds on Carn a Mhaim 1037 metres. Looking over to Cairn Toul and Braeriach.

 

Most of the high tops in the Cairngorms are still holding good coverage. View to Ben MacDui.
