A dusting of snow.

11th March 2020

It was a cold windy day with snowfall down to low levels. This has left a dusting of snow in most locations with older snow very firm and icy. Any Easterly aspect is still holding deep cover.

There was a dusting in most locations today.

View across to Cairn Bannoch. Typical of snow cover at the moment, good on E aspects above 800 metres poor in any wind exposed locations. Only the most sheltered locations had any depth of new snow.

Looking down past the crags of the Dubh Loch, it appears the icefall ‘Funeral Falls’ has survived the thaw.

Ptarmigan camouflage working well at the moment.
