A mild day.

16th January 2020

Another wild one today but nowhere near as cold as recent days.

Surprised to meet someone on the hill on this ‘less than inspiring day’, turned out to be Kevin Woods who is out trying to complete a Winter round of the Munro’s.

After todays thaw the freezing level is dropping tomorrow and forecast to remain sub-summits over the weekend.

In the milder conditions recently formed ice was falling from fences, cables and rocks.

Glas Maol summit.  Just below freezing late morning.
