Another cloudy one.

24th December 2019

We seem to be getting a lot of cloudy days this season. Perhaps Christmas day will be better, however there will be a return to more mild conditions after that.

Regardless of weather,  we wish all the SAIS users a Merry Christmas!

It was a cloudy day, cloud base lifting to around 900 metres in the afternoon. Little snow cover towards Cairn O Claise, much better in higher N toE facing Corries.

There was a covering of soft moist snow higher up with some snowballing on steeper slopes. A small cornice collapse from a couple of days ago was also noted.
