Some sun and great views.

21st March 2019

After some light rain it turned out nice, a bit of sun and clear views. Not the day I was expecting!

Couldn’t help notice how high the rivers were running, sadly a refection on how much snow we have lost. The corries are still hanging in there and as its getting cold tomorrow perhaps Winter isn’t quite done yet?

Looking past The Stuic to Lochnagar. Most plateau areas have lost snow cover.

Snow is soft but well bonded. Largest areas are mostly on NE to SE aspects.

Views to Corrie Kander and Glas Maol in the distance.

The Dubh Lochan.

The Main Cairngorms in the distance.

Better cover higher up on Cairn Toul, left to Ben McDui on the right.

The Corries of Beinn a Bhuird.
