Lochnagar.

It looked a little whiter above 950 metres this morning however, new snow made little difference to the overall conditions. The hill cloud was around the summits, occasionally clearing at times. Fairly busy with walkers and a handful of climbers in the corrie.

Cloud around the top of Meall Saobhaidhe, 974 metres..

 

Sun on Lochnagar. Still mostly frozen.

 

Climbers gearing up. Cornice collapse debris in the background. This was reported last Saturday.

Looking down Black Spout from the junction. Snow was often soft until this point.

 

The narrows, right-hand Black Spout. Good firm snow to the top.

 

Looking down Black Spout. Shallow new accumulations in places.

 

Plenty walkers around today.
