Cloudy morning.
7th February 2019
It was a cloudy and calm start to the day. With little wind there had been a light covering of new snow on most aspects but otherwise not a lot has changed.

A monochrome morning. Plenty snow depths on the Southerly aspects. Snow on these aspects is bridged by a melt freeze layer with a deeper weaker layer of buried surface hoar in some locations.

A light covering of new snow on most aspects is likely to be redistributed by the forecasted strong winds.

Above Pinnacle area on Corrie Direch. Reasonable build up around the corrie rims but no cornices have formed. There was a lot of rollerballs further down the slopes.
