Great cover.

25th March 2018

The snowpack remains firm, although there was a little bit of snow overnight. Generally this was not deep nor extensive. Great conditions for travel, ski or foot.

A bit of cloud at times today, nice to see quite a lot of birds around enjoying freshly exposed heather and ground.

Older surface instabilities, its possible we’ll see more during Monday on sun affected slopes and as the freezing levels rise.

A pair of Ptarmigans feeding, camouflage looking good!

Great coverage, firm on all aspects with some light accumulations in lee locations.

Ptarmigan near the summit of Carn a Gheoidh.

In lee locations there was some shallow new snow, generally not deep and helped make some excellent skiing.

Grouse keeping an eye on me.
