An improving day.

31st March 2018

It was another cold, cloudy and windy start to the day again. However, the cloud base lifted a couple of times later in the morning. There had been another smaller avalanche in Corrie Fionn yesterday,  its been a very active place this winter.

Due to be dry tomorrow but possibility of more hill snow on Monday.

Corrie Fionn. Another small avalanche noted, this time on the West (left side) yesterday.

There been some minor improvement in stability but new windslab still failed where its developed over the old hard snow.

Two dots on the ridge make their way to Glas Maol. Good fast walking at the moment.

West facing aspects, such as these ones beyond the Glas Maol lift (closed today but hopefully fixed soon) are holding unstable accumulations.
