A damp day.

23rd March 2018

It was a rather damp day with a mix of rain and sleet up to around 900 metres where there was some new snow, not too much and being so damp it had bonded well to the existing snow. Although soft the snowpack continues to stabilise. Of course, another poor morning for seeing anything!

Usual visibility in the morning. It cleared later in the afternoon.

New snow above 850 metres. It wasn’t to deep and had also bonded well to the older snow.

A pair of Ptarmigans around 900 metres.
