Powder day.

13th February 2018

Great to see a proper dump of snow this morning, little disappointed it stopped a bit earlier than forecast. The upside was a stunning afternoon with amazing ski conditions. As the snow stopped the winds eased for a while, becoming much stronger early afternoon.

Tomorrow will be very windy but we should see further snowfall in the afternoon.

Difficult day for Glenshee Ski Area, many staff initially could not get into work but once they did it the area was soon sorted.

Fantastic views across to the main Cairngorms. Coverage much improved.

Investigating newly deposited snow.

Digging deeper into the snow allows us to monitor the weaker layers further down.

Snow drifting into Corrie Direch.
