Continuing wintry.

10th February 2018

We had some snowfall last night with strong winds moving it around the hills. More of the same to come during this week, more snow, a couple of fluctuations in the freezing level and of course plenty of wind! Hopefully we’ll develop a bit more snowpack depth over the next few days.

Cloud cleared mid morning with the winds easing soon after.

Drifting and new snow has led to new accumulations in sheltered areas.

Weaker layers persist within deeper areas of the snowpack, mainly above 850 metres.

Orange pant update, up to their shins in new snow.
