Thaw continues

19th December 2017

It remained very mild today with significant snow loss evident. Unfortunately the immediate forecast is for more of the same. In the medium term, we may have cooler temperatures and some snow for the summits…accompanied by what looks like some fairly strong winds!

Ice covering Loch Vrotachan at 750m, but it was starting to break at the west end.

Significant snow loss at lower elevations (below 800m).

The glens are now clear of snow.

Clunie Water running a little higher today.
