Mild!

20th February 2017

The past 24 hours have been very mild and the remaining snow is thawing quickly in some locations. The freezing level will lower to 800 metres overnight, so the wet snow will start to firm up again…

Typical snow cover – large patches around high altitude corrie rims – North aspect at 1000m.

Exposed locations are devoid of snow: Col at 900 metres.

At least the rainbow made me smile….
