Simply the best!

28th February 2016

What a perfect day – great snow cover, blue sky and sunshine and no winds….

Very cold temperatures in the snowpack with a fairly steep temperature gradient in the shallower snow. Widespread, well-developed surface hoar present today due to the cold, calm overnight conditions. Bit of a change tomorrow – back to strong winds with some snowfall expected.
