A trip up Lochnagar from the Glas-alt Shiel.
Glas Alt waterfall.
Still water running until around 950 metres
The Glas Alt.
Good cover in high sheltered Glens. Burn lines giving good depth of snow.
Walkers heading for Lochnagar.
Great options for ski touring.
Firm snowpack.
The snowpack is much firmer with some shallow windslab in places.
West Buttress.
Cornice edge.
Cornice remnants.
Most cornices have collapsed or been blown out. There are some left but the remnants will give a sporty finish to some gullies.
Exposed slopes are scoured and icy.
