Landslip, 30th December

This is a landslip that occurred on Morrone, overlooking Braemar during the torrential rain on the 30th December, 2015. As previously mentioned in our blog, some roads, tracks and bridges in the area have been damaged by the flooding caused by storm Frank, but the local communities have been working hard to have most of the usual facilities available – many of the shops and cafes are open waiting for your business – just check your access route before you travel.
South Cairngorm SAIS has been having difficulties with power outage and lack of internet facilities causing problems in posting our usual quality and quantity of photos and video clips: We promise to make up for it when everything is up and running as usual!
