15th April

15th April 2015

A fairly pleasant day with a chilly wind. The remaining snow is currently soft and moist but should become somewhat firmer overnight as the freezing level lowers. All the recent superficial snow has now completely melted and what remains is the old (and still quite deep) deposits, present mainly (but not exclusively) in the high North and East facing corries.
