Patchy

Great to see plenty ski tourer’s around Glenshee area today but generally snow cover is still a little patchy,  that doesn’t mean it’s stable. This slope today had a long crack in it lurking under 10 cm of newer snow.

Typical of the area, deeper snow on lee slopes with scoured slopes elsewhere. Deeper snow is mostly avoidable on open terrain but less so in gullies and scarp slopes. Sunday will see significant accumulations in sheltered terrain.Patchy
