Yep it’s snowing.

28th January 2014

The guys at Glenshee ski area have been working hard. This was Caenlochan uplift, closed today while Stuart sorted it out. Handy as we were about to start skinning when he turned up and gave us a lift, Honest!
A short skin over to the West Side of Glas Maol and a dig in some shallower snow. In fact this was hard windslab on a shallow angled slope, around 25 degree’s. Several tests were done, I put a pencil at the failure layer as a maker for the photo. It was a very easy shear. The face up to our right would not have been a good place to be today.
