Southern Cairngorms Blog & Mountain Info

Despite the wind and rain we decided to visit Lochnagar. Apparently it was still there but has been hiding for a while. Saw nothing all day and was not particularly pleasant but as Al said, “feels more like a bad summer day than a winter day”. Summed it up.

We managed up to Red Spout, passed one snow patch at the Col but nothing else. We then ran away down Glas alt Sheil where it was even wetter due the the waterfall blowing back up the path!
