No April Fools – this is the cover on Lochnagar today – Absolutely amazing for Spring time….
The weather looks set to continue in a similar pattern for the rest of the week, so there should be little change in the conditions at higher elevations.
Definite observation of facetted crystals today. These fragile crystals form a weak layer in the snowpack and develop during prolonged periods of cold temperatures. Harder to spot than storm instability – look out for softer density layers between firmer ones, and sugary like crystals.
