Snow on the way!

6th March 2013

Thick low cloud today – so sorry no photos!

The good weather is well and truly over! We are due sleet then snow as the freezing level lowers from 1200m overnight to 700m on Thursday. This will arrive on 45mph Easterly winds…. The old base is very firm so stability of the new deposits will be poor as depth is acquired.

Time to repack the rucksack – reminder to self – swop sunglasses for goggles!
