Heavy snow due.

19th December 2012

It was a tricky day getting up high in the winds, but I was keen to see how much new snow was around. With winds around 80+ the snowpack was either scoured or had soft new snow in the sheltered   areas. It was quite moist snow, so it had bonded reasonably well.

Here is a shot from Derry Cairngorm looking over to the White Mounth I took Yesterday (Tuesday). The snow cover is reasonable from 850 metres, but hopefully it will improve in the next couple of days.
Snow is due to start tonight and carry on for all tomorrow from 600 metres, let’s hope!
